So it started some time ago as green smoke and heat particles in heat vision...

Any ideas?

if you are running SLI /or crossfire you are likely to get this , it gets worse on dx11 and your frames will drop when ever there is heavy particle system use (critical damage smoke, overhead smoke, arty, blizzard on snow maps)

dx11 will also net you a horrible bug where mechs have half of their components be rendered invisible ... aka not rendered at all
i fought a ac40 jaggermech that was only showing as two floating guns ... talk about messed up

disable your SLI if you want to run Dx11 or wish to have some what of a reasonable FPS
dx9 fairs a little better but still suffers from green smoke and particle lag

you can also attempt to have the game rebuild the shader cache
exit the client
navigate to the user folder inside the MWO folder on your pc
something like
C:\Games\Mechwarrior\MechWarrior Online\USER
once you have found that delete the folder called SHADERS
start client
load level
for a few seconds you may get some crazy looking yellow and blue textures on everything for each first load on a level

Quick update:
Removing the Shaders seems to have fixed the Green smoke in Mech lab but it's still there in thermal vision. Last night i also noticed the machine gun rounds glow green now.

Checked to make sure your graphics drivers are up to date?

Tried the repair tool yet?

I've recently updated the GPU drivers with no luck. I may try generic AMD CCC 7XXX series drivers next, thanks for the idea DEMAX51.

And I'll try get a vid of it tonight Fierostetz.
