So you locked the engine to the CT to make up for the fact that we can change the hardpoints by swapping omnipods. That seems like a fair trade off, but then give us 3 different engine options for the 3 variants for those of us who would trade some tonnage for speed or vice versa. If every variant has the exact same engine then they are all the exact same CT with different omnipods attached. WTF are we forced to buy the exact same 'mech 3 times, when we just need one 'mech and a supply of omnipods?

I do have to agree that for many/most of the Clan mechs, which variant you use is pretty much irrelevant. That's kinda sad.
I mean, it's great for me to have 3 per from my preorder, as I can have 3 different builds simultaneously and not worry about levelling, but it's going to really suck for people buying them via cbills etc.
