With the Clans I had a new version, 3 from left 3 from up hills and the rest from the right hills in 2 groups, one flank from the hills right after the city, rest 3 from the far right hills and antena falling in our back => Clan speed and weight wins, and if you also are uncoordinated a very funny win situation.
Cause defending from the hill to up is then a one by one kill for the other side.
So many different tactics is only possible on this map and the canyon map.
So NO, best map to use your brains and as one other said here, there are more things important than weapons on this map. But if you all always only have weapons then it is your doom not the others ...

On conquest, spread the capture points back out, or offer the original layout as an alternate that comes up half the time.
On assault, add a variant with other bases, one northwest, one central south. That way we have some alternates for assault and the fight can move to another area.
Skirmish, throw in a variant with different spawn points, and closer to your own team than the other please.
Devs could double the "maps" by throwing in variants of what we have now, but offering new bases, capture points and spawns.

re-model Alpine's terrain and release it as a new map? Huh? That's just my opinion.

The map itself is fine, the problem is that most of the time, only 30% of it gets used. The whole southern half is largely ignored or bypassed.

Every once in a while, something strange happens, and other parts of map are used!
There are some awesome spots to fight from around that map, provided you have ~500m range, I think the spawns need to be adjusted to get more variation though. Random spawns just on alpine maybe?

or a game mode similar to conquest where lances are cut off from each other until random places on the map are captured once captured a new cap objective appears and the remaining mechs have to fight it out for that
but for removing any map HELL NO!!!there's not enough maps as is
