I was thinking that a small ECM Drone as well as a Counter ECM Drone could be placed in the game on some future map. It would be a hidden item that a player would pick up. The Drone would then go to the Mechlab where a player would be able to use it later. You would have to find each drone however before you could use it.

We already have a camera drone, why not use the same thing as a model for it. Change the light from red to violet for the ECM, and green for Counter ECM. If a player has a vacant spot in their Mechs chassis, they can then slip it into their Mech, as the item lacks weight as far as the Mech build is concerned, and then in Play they can launch the item, which will appear just as the Camera drone does now, floating out of the back of the Mech. Unlike the camera drone, the ECM Drone would be stationary, and players could "blow it out the sky" if they wished.
