Front Load:
I'm running Windows 7, The Saitek profile editor crashes everytime I try to use it.
I don't have rudder pedals, but I want to get some.

Meat:

I just unboxed my Saitek X52, I've never used these before; what is the step by step that I have to do to use them for MWO?

1. I've open the box and adjusted the stick to my hand.
2. They are plugged in and on
3. .....

I read about changing settings in User.cfg, I don't know where that file is.

How do most players have their buttons set up?

I need help.

I have a Saitek X52, but I don't use them for MWO.
It's fantastic for Games like Freespace 2 and all it's Mods (Wing Commander Saga & Diaspora, a Battlestar Galactica Mod) but in MWO I use a Saitek ST 290 in the left hand for Movement and a Mad Catz MMO 7 mouse for aiming in the right hand.

The crashing of the Saitek Software is not uncommon, get the new version on their website.
AFIAK you must first install the software before plugging in the stick

I use a X52 with no issues in MWO (actually, I just got it working properly). Aside from creating a profile for MWO and mapping out the controls, there really was nothing to it. Everything on the stick, throttle included, is working properly.

I think I have everything where I want it but I don't know how to make the Pinky Switch (Joy 6?) Work as toggle arm lock, I can't program it in the editor it just says "Latched" and I can't figure out which one is Toggle Arm Lock in the Actionmap.... ugh...

Just figured it out
