Suggestion : Achievements And Match Rewards

Not sure if this was already suggested by someone else ...

IMHO achievements should not be a one-time feature, it should be possible to get achievements each match ( if feasible ). Reaching a specific value for assists or C-Bills can only be reached once of course. But achieving a defined state like "getting 5 assists in one game" is repeatable. For example : if you manage to survive a game with less than 30% HPs, destroyed five components and had seven assists you should received the full ( or at least a share ) of the rewards for the corresponding achievements.

This is probably not the best way but it could give additional reward options and support more different roles in a match.

More non-damage achievements would be needed to support this direction. Scouts and supporters could contribute to the match and gain EXP and C-Bills for their role specific actions and not falling back in EXP and C-Bill income because they focused on supporting. It would also mitigate the missing role warfare roles.

More achievements, preferably already measurable by the current game engine, could be added to encourage play styles or simple activities. Just some quick ideas :
  • Collector ( based on number of Capture points generated by you )
  • Tycoon ( different ranks for generating Capture points on 1, 2, 3, all capture-bases )
  • Turret killer ( different ranks for number of spotted, marked, damaged, destroyed turrets)
  • Relay station ( different ranks for 3, 5, 7, or 12 targets marked by you for indirect fire )
  • Information sharer ( different ranks for number of marked target with R and shared information after full lock with team for 3, 5, 7 or 12 enemies; not first spotter bonus )
  • Is it raining ? ( different ranks based on AMS used to protect team, number of missiles shot down and own Mechs protected )
  • Electronic-Warfare-Specialist ( based on how often you successfully used BAP, ECM, TAG, NARC, ... )
  • Marathon-Man ( Mech with longest distance covered or based on maximum reachable distance given by max speed for your Mech )
  • It's-a-bird! ( based on distance covered with jump-jets or highest / farthest jump )
  • Observer ( different ranks for keeping a target continuously locked and marked for 30, 60, 90, 120 seconds)
  • Hail-Mary-Hit ( hitting a target indirectly with LRMs that is more than 990 meters away )
Perhaps rewards could allow different aspects of the current game engine to be equal worthwhile ?

Both ( damage and kills ) are important for a combat based game but imho there are equally other important aspects of a team based combat that are currently not rewarded enough.
