Hi all,
Im a European player and I have a question for all of you LPBs out there
IE American players or in general players who have about 50ms ping...
In the last few days the controls have become very sluggish and unresponsive, this is especially true of missles and cannons, although to be fair even lasers feel a bit off...
I usually have pings between 120-150ms, and so far have been OK with the response times but in the last day or two its gotten just crazy....
My question is this, have any of you with 50ms ping (or less) experienced this lately or is it merely a problem for us playing from overseas? Thanks in advance....

I have wondered about this also. I am in Scandinavia, and generally get ping of about 120-150.
I am not using much of missiles, but my buddy said he has to keep pressing the group-button for a whole second or so to get them fired.
Also my AC:s have been quite erratic in firing. I thought this was something I haven't figured out about the recycle-rate.
So, might be a confirmation on OP:s suspicions.

Have you gone into the test window for your game controller? Do you see a delay in movements in that?
If not, it could be something to do with the game controller and MWO. You may want to try using a virtual joystick such as vJoy and seeing if you see the same delay when using a virtual stick.
If not, you could map the real stick to the virtual one, and set the game to use the virtual stick - that might fix it.
I have seen erratic AC firing though - esp with the UAC5.

This was my biggest issue last night, after installing the new patch.
I've been suffering from extremely low frame rates since a couple patches ago, but I've never had such a delay with my missiles before. Last night I would get a lock, but no matter how much I clicked I wouldn't fire anything off... It seriously took over 30seconds for the missiles to fire - which by that point I no longer had a lock or I wasn't even facing the same direction anymore. Very frustrating.
Don't think this is a ping issue either, I'm in Ontario my ping is usually less than 30ms.

If somebody in my house is using skype video chat it totally wrecks my ping, I notice that ingame, press zoom and there's a noticable delay. This will also occur if the servers are overloaded.

I have noticed this for a few months now. Randomly in the middle of a match my mouse become sluggish. My fps are still fine, just the controls are sluggish/Jerky. I tried changing the battery, no luck, changing the mouse, no luck. It only happens for mwo and only sometimes. I am playing in England and on a lap top that isnt the best fps around 30.
Please look into this PGI

Been monitoring interface IP to PGI's ISP Internap.. Noticed it to be more inconsistent recently.. Might be related.

Some more info for the techie types to maybe diagnose this problem...
I'm in the U.S. with a ping that is usually in the 70 - 90 range. I use an old Saitek X-52 controller (USB 1.0), bought when it 1st came out about 10 years ago. Worked well until I started dropping with a team that mandated voice-coms so I started using a USB headset/boom mic (USB 2.0). That's when I started having lag/delay problems with my controller. It didn't matter if I had TeamSpeak running or not, just the fact that the headset was plugged in caused the delay. Tried switching around all my USB devices to see if it was somehow a USB channel conflict. No luck. Then I plugged in an analog mic, no headphones, & the delay went away.
I don't have anything other than MWO to test this on so I can't say if this is an MWO only problem. So maybe try unplugging some of your unnecessary USB devices to see if there is some other USB device causing the problem/conflict.
