PGI can you PLEASE fix the lag on PPCs for us players on high ping.

I am on 280 - 300ms ping in Australia and the PPC lag is constantly variable and it is throwing off my aim.

I have tested this on the training grounds and PPCs were INSTANTANEOUS with no lags/delays in firing and or beam animation and hits target instantly.

On the live server you can tell there's a perceptible lag/delay on PPCs in general, it is something that I can't get used to as it changes constantly and it is highly disadvantageous.

Anyone with similar experiences please post here - we need to make PGI aware of this and hopefully they can address it.

Not sure if i'm correct here but isn't the testing ground hosted locally on your own machine rather than on their server?

Correct. But even there I have managed to get CERPPCs to not register hits so I personaly believe that its a coding issue and not strictly related to high ping players. I usualy run between 130-150 ping from europe and using a Warhawk Prime is an exercise in self-control....*must not smash keyboard must not smash keyboard*... when you fire 4 PPCs and one or two hits, the rest gloriously sailing into the sunset doing absolutly nothing but build heat for you.

It's not just high ping. Im round 80-100ms and I've had my PPC's not register.

I'm on ping 300 - 340 ,yes when i fire ballistic or ppc, it will lag.

I dont think they can fix that unless you can find the way to reduce your ping to be less then 150.Its just the distance from your computer to the server.

But since they have server side hit animation atleast i know i'm hiiting the target or not.you have to compensate (not easy though).

But lasers are actually also lag, but it have no server side hit animation so we dont know where we actually it the target.They should fix that.
