Almost cried at the end. Despite a couple of cheesy-unrealistic moments and unnecessary horror elements(and the fact that instead of nudging Soyuz toward Tian Gong with posing thruster, she choose to catapult the landing pod with landing thruster and just fxxking jump for it with an extinguisher), for a occasional space nerd like me, it was a perfect movie.

Seriously, why can't we have more space movies like that??

You must be incredibly fun at parties!

If you're really gonna go off on realism, then why did Russia do the stupid sh*t of blowing a bunch of space debris in the first place? And by the way, of course it's Russian who did some f**ked up ****, only this time it's in space - despite, I heard, they're right now the only one who has functional space shuttles. Who else can you frame? It certainly can't be China - what, you wanna take a dunk on your 85% of your international market?

Jeez, it's a million-dollar commercial movie that is trying to carry a message, and the fact that they didn't f**k up the message part is already a miracle if you ask me.

Enjoyed it.

Frankly walking into any movie theatre that isn't advertising a documentary and expecting precise factual accuracy is more unrealistic than any of the inaccuracies in the movie.

It's a little like criticizing the journalistic integrity of the news reporters in Starship Troopers. I mean Biased much?!

I assume Movie = Brain Out and am pleasantly surprised if I need to pop it back in.

I hated that movie... My dad was the only one (in my 29 member family) that liked it. To unrealistic.

Because it would be impossible to get to the Chinese space station from the International Space station (in a straight line you would go through the atmosphere and disintegrate).

In real life she would only have to tug on George Clooney's tether and he would come back because he would not be moving anymore after she stopped him. If anything he would float back to ISS because the every action has an opposite and equal reaction meaning the minute he stretch to the limit of the tether (at the speed he was in the movie) he would be pulled back to ISS just from the simple laws of physics. Even if he wasn't she would only have to pull him in.

She is not wearing space diapers even though all Astronauts are wearing them when spacewalking or outside the shuttle.

She is not wearing any cooling vest or cooling socks.

She was not wearing the "Snoopy cap".

When she cried the tears would not float of her face because of Surface Tension.

The Hubble Space Telescope, which is being repaired at the beginning of the movie, has an altitude of about 559 kilometers (347 mi) and an orbital inclination of 28.5 degrees. The ISS has an altitude of around 420 kilometers (260 mi) and an orbital inclination of 51.65 degrees. The significant differences between orbital parameters would make it impossible to travel between the two spacecraft without precise preparation, planning, calculation, the appropriate technology, and a large quantity of fuel.

I was crying in this movie... of hatred of its inaccuracies.

I'm sorry for you. Don't go into video game developing, or you'll never be able to enjoy video games again.

Also, never ever read a book on human biological reproduction. Just go for it.

A movie that needs this label is a bad movie.

What message? Don't shoot a Satellite unless you can stop the debris? Nuclear Weapons are bad?

Is it really that hard to tell? Or should I point out the overwhelming amount of obvious symbolism, especially at the end of the movie?

Marack you said it yourself. It's one of the oldest classic plots.
Whatever you choose to read into wider implications of hidden meanings you've still boiled it down to its essence - a very human need to get home.

Does it really have to be more than that?

*sigh* no no no there's nothing about revolution...the movie can be interpreted in many ways but evolution was not a part of it. Unless you really hamfist the ending when
Spoiler
DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT SYMBOLISM IS ERMAGERD

The movie is about the will to survival against all odds. About life. About how we human are earth-bound creatures. It's more like a Jack London novel written from a female perspective than a space story. The fact that
Spoiler
. And the fact that the protagonist is a female. That's the symbolism.

BTW (brace yourselves): TLOTR is overrated. It is dumb entertainment for the masses.

Since that title (worst movie) is currently held by either Manos: The Hands of Fate or Max Magician and the Legend of the Rings

Saying it is not the worst.... really is not saying much. :D
