Man he must think lots of games are going out of business as many ftp games have sales at least one time during each week. Some even have month long (or longer sales) on top of their weekly sales.

Apparently Valve is going out of business so fast, it's tearing a hole in space-time:

They will always have sales. Deal with it.
What should be more concerning is the lack of events (like, even a tourney, or some freebie giveaway) to get people involved. That's how you generate activity... not sales. Sales comes WITH good/high activity.

Its starting to feel a bit worrisome that PGI pushes out a new sale about every three days.
It means that they are either desperate for money or just plain greedy and neither is good.

We had a little while with a new sale every day and the world didn't end.

I almost want to use forum turtle.
Almost.
But nay, not today. This just seems more appropriate for OP.

I see that the ancient sport of bashing the OP is alive and well

Lolwut?
It means no such thing.
Frequent sales means good business practice, as well as a certain enthusiasm for their consumer base.
Frequent sales means more opportunities for the player to be discerning in his purchase habits. It makes it viable to hold out for that specific color that you really want, or to wait for the Hero you plan to buy to go on sale before picking it up.

Regardless of their intentions.
I think its nice to get some paints that I've wanted for a while to come back on sale.\
Money grabs?
Why should this concern you if you're not buying anything?
They gotta keep the servers and THE NERFINATOR payed afterall right?

OP has a point. Ever see a business go out of business? What do they do? PUT EVERYTHING ON SALE!!!
Honestly I don't know what is up with PGI but I think pretty much everyone realizes that MWO has a relatively small player base. Hell just today I was totally shocked when I realized that their hadn't been a post in the Battlemech Guides section for almost a full day. That isn't a sign of a healthy community.
However, I do hope PGI can hold it together because I do generally have fun despite hating PGI as a developer. Maybe eventually they will figure out that if instead of charging at the Yang for Clan mechs and keeping prices reasonable that more new people will actually buy them and start playing the game. Also adding it a 2-6 month barrier to experience new content for free doesn't exactly endear people either.
Nope PGI would have done much better by keeping the prices relatively low and accessible to everyone rather than those of us who happen to have excess money to spend on a game.
