Looking at this post:

Does anyone know if the crit bonus applies to Gauss and ERPPC?

They count as "projectile" weapons, so I would assume such.

NOTE: All values are placeholders for example purposes only. Beam weapons include all lasers; projectile weapons include all Gauss Rifles, PPCs, and non-LBX Autocannons.

Increased crit chance for projectile and beam weapons: +14.5%

the 14.5% number is a placeholder, but yes, ballistic weapons get the crit bonus

I've only seen them write AC and Laser not Gauss and ERPPC.

Though, the crit bonus isn't really worth much. Those weapons already 1 shot almost every component, AC20 aside.

Does the gauss with the bonus get 18 damage?

Otherwise, with the 15% of all crit damage returning to the IS, it's seems the returns are minimal instead of more ammo or heatsinks to handle the ERPPCs.

it does. It's however not worth it on FDL pinpoint weapons. I'd rather have 1 ton of additional ammo or heatsink.
Lasers are a different story; each Lasershots applies multiple ticks of which each tick could crit,.

Use them with lasers :)
