whats the point of this again?

Apparently it's to demonstrate how futile it is to educate the community exactly what combat-loss attrition is and how powerful a simple thing as compounding force strength is...

Nevermind the fact that Kool-aid boogeyman denialists can't wrap their minds around the fact that Elo is a tool for matchmaking but it cannot control the outcome of any given match.

Oh no... you lost some games. That must be so horrible. Now your children will be shamed for the rest of their lives. :)

Well, I'd say since half his team failed to reach 200 damage, or even 100 damage on occasion that there might be an issue.

Though, group queue tends to fix that problem.

In fairness...

While I'm not an "elite" player but accomplished nonetheless, I've had instances where I crest a hill or rounded a corner to run smack dab into the face of multiple opposing enemy mechs and all I could do was piddle my drawers a little before they focused me into oblivion.

And yes... I have done sub 10 points of damage. Typically a glancing LRM shot on a distant speedy light or that last-act-of-defiance shot that glances a Direwolves shin before I get turned into focus-fire goo...

IMHO You guys are pretty quick to caste a noob in the role of a sub 10 point contributor, when I've seen occasion when even the uber elite super-soldier pilots in this community have a god awful round like that.

Heh, those games are actually funny.

Had a good laugh yesterday in my Nova. Glimpsed around a corner *wham* left ST gone . Went on the other flank, got one salvo off *wham* RA gone . With 2 MGs you won't contribute too much to the scoreboard - 58 to be precise.

Amen. Especially when there're 11 people under 200 damage ;).

Since the MM update I had some very few great games actually and a whole bunch of one sided stomps (being on both ends). Can't say about the group queue, but solo queue seems to be a bit weird at the moment (in my Elo range that is).

The guy who dealt exactly 1 point of damage on your team is particularly funny. Somebody with zero could have simply been AFK. But in order to get 1 damage, he probably had to bump into somebody, and then promptly die.

Seen it before from someone who was a disconnect at the start, he got one damage because I ran into his disconnected mech and caused myself some collision damage.

OP: You do understand that "Victory" or "Defeat" only appear at the end of hte game, right? No need to qualify every single screenie as "at the end" when it`s that obvious with huge white text over the top of the screenie, wastes your time and annoys people that are actually capable of applying logic.

Nevermind the fact that Kool-aid boogeyman denialists can't wrap their minds around the fact that Elo is a tool for matchmaking but it cannot control the outcome of any given match.

This essentially nails it.. it`s a whine about constantly losing and having bad teammates, while completely disregarding teh only common factor in all of those matches as a possible issue, while displaying a complete and total ignorance of how the matchmaker actually works. Ironically , the screenshots even help to pinpoint the OP`s performance as a possible issue: in all of the losses, his personal teamplay appears to be lacking when taken at the same face value that he expects everyone here to take his statements at. Very few, all the way down to zero assists on the losses, and very many on the victories.

Taken at face value, that says that in the losses the OP either went off chasing squirrels or chose personal targets instead of focusing fire, and actually played with his team properly on the wins.

So how exactly is it NOT your fault, OP?

TL,DR: It`s just another uninformed whine by someone that thinks he should have 12-kill victories handed to him on a golden platter.

I mean, come on, "ONE GOOD MATCH"?? In all 3 victories out of the seven matches you posted you easily made well in excess of 150k c-bills and 1,5k XP even without premium or a hero mech, so what exactly are you whining about?

Judging from the screenshots most people capable of apply logic are few and far between in the mwo community.

Perhaps you should have been more concerned with the map objectives instead of pewpewing?

Perhaps being down 3 ******* people early in a match changes how you play and sending two to three people running around capping points now makes it easier to get rolled.

It is never fun to play with people too far below your level. This is a team game and PGI prefers that you have good players combined with the bad. Because, that is evidently what is fun and enjoyable. Not sure for who though. Im sure that Jordan wouldnt like some guy who has never seen a basketball, double dribbles and is fouling like crazy on his team.

This is the ratio in games of late.
1. 4 each Shooters - Veteran players.
2. 2 each New Guys - Beginning players less than 30 days give or take.
3. 6 each from Clan Clueless - Players whose total lack of any reasonable skill, has made me punch my monitors at various times.
Luckily for me I'm retiring soon so I have dispoable income.

@OP: Statswise your matches where pretty balanced overall.
3 winns 4 losses of 7 games and the winning Team had either more clanmechs than the loosing one (4 out of 7 games) or the same amount with obviously semi afk IS pilots (first game) or IS mechs that where regarded vastly inferior or simply troll builds long time before clan mechs came out the last two games.

So nothing realy to wonder here.
Just an other prove that statistic and the right tools in the right places are always winning.

Oh that wasn't meant to insult someone as a noob. I mastered my locusts, so I had zero damage rounds or below 10damage, too. Way too often to be true.

But exactly 1 point of damage... there's no weapon to get that easily so i was honest with what I wrote. Quite impressive, just try to get that on purpose. And that really should be an achievement ;)
