Splash damage never worked right. It was an attempt to mimic missile spread that failed.
The problem is some mechs have smaller hit boxes than others, so took more damage most of the time. Not a big deal with ppcs, but small glitches add up with 80 lrm salvos. This is not a change I care about, but it shouldn't affect gameplay and makes balancing easier.
But I don't care! Reconnect!
Edit: And a true toggle!
Also: . Hope the group matchmaking changes help. It matters that they are trying, so I care not if the new fix works well or not. :-P.

Also, lrm damage under 180 is non linear, meaning instead of doing .33 at 60 meters and .66 at 60 meters and 1 at 180 meters, they do like .1 at 60 meters and like .5 at 120 meters and like .9 at 170 meters (made up numbers).

hmmm... mo AMS toggle again?
and another reason to make a break for few months, until clan mechs´re avaiable for c-lills, because of no min range for C LRMs...

I dont think the availibility of Clan mechs for Cbills will affect the no-minimum range of C-LRMs I am sorry to say.

Here's hoping that they heard some of the gripes many of us had about more weapon mods/less mech mods and are adjusting accordingly for release in a future patch.
Everything else in the patch seems fantastic also.

As of late, the game is starting to feel like it’s taking on some polish…
I really hope the big dreams that generated a lot of the hype two years ago (community warfare aside) start to make an appearance near the end of the year. All those cool things that were mentioned in the Ask the Devs…
Really hoping for an improved new-user experience (Full-fledged tutorials? Get rid of those wall of texts that are too easy to click past) before any plans for a re-launch. I’ll even vouch for doing the voice acting. Toss me a plane ticket and a hotel room and I’ll be there in a heartbeat to do the recording.

Was hoping you'd give us the Vindicator or maybe the Flea if the MASC had been fixed.
Flea Wouldn't have done much for me, but it would have been better than nothing.

only about 4 LRM 15 doing about 30 dmg at 100 m, that is not a small amount against a light ;trying to eliminate enemy boat

no, but i can buy them then and have the same advantages
rejoin function... great, but on some maps you´ll be dead before u can rejoin, if you´re dropped into mechlab at beginning, because some drop points´re too close to enemy droppoints, especially in skirmish
