seriously what a pointless function. Since the patch the game is heaps more buggy. Rather than a rejoin function, how about just making some of the basic bugs that have been since closed beta given a fix so the client is just more stable would seem a better option.

I ended up joining a group of mechs. They didn't shoot me, so thankfully my team. I shot where they shot.


Actually, the last two sentences are bunk.

I can load the map but as soon as that is done i find myself in Mechlab and get the pop-up "Disconnected from game server".
I would love "rejoin" and hope you guys fix it as soon as possible.

Had a few games in the last days were one pilot disconnected at the start of the match but came back in and was able to join the fight without any problems.
So far, i like it very much. Maybe it´s still a little buggy in some cases but definitely a very useful feature.

...Yep, exactly the same for me. Rejoin attempted after memory alloaction error, and so far has not worked at all

The interesting thing is that if it fails then it continue to fail no matter how may attempts you do.

I've successfully rejoined a couple times, but got this yesterday. Crashed and needed to restart the client, couldn't connect.
It would be nice to change up the message if the 2 minute timer has expired and you won't be able to reconnect, rather than simply kicking you back to mechlab simply saying 'disconnected from game server'

At the end of the game, it got stuck in a perpetual "Loading" screen and I had to manually kill the game and reboot again.

I was playing a match this week where only two members of our side were left and the enemy had one apparent disconnect left. We had a legged Kitfox and red CT Summoner left, with only a single C-SRM6 between them. The Summoner decided to hunt down the disconnect to finish the game, after we all told him not to go over there, the mech came back to life as he approached. It was a lightly damaged Atlas. Luckily he got the message and escaped successfully. Since the Atlas couldn't give chase after a while, he disconnected again to wait for his friends who were presumably spectating, to let him know when to rejoin, as we were in the group queue.
Suffice to say this sort of behaviour is not really in the spirit of which the game should be played. We used to call this behaviour "ghosting" in DayZ for those who want a way to describe it. I'd be interested if anybody has had similar stories, because PGI should be made aware of this kind of behaviour. I would also like it if they could update their official rules to make it clear it isn't acceptable, if used this way.

I was under enemy fire via LRM/s
I fired the game back up rejoined and was only lightly damaged. I am guessing I went shut down when I disconnected.
THAT WAS SWEET.
We still lost but It was a great experience.

It's not once every 20 games we get that, it's more like once every 3 games.
And that's an incredible total waste of time.
12 men waisting 5 mins, that's 1h lost every 3 match, that's 1h lost every 45 minutes. And I feel I am being fair with numbers here.That obviously was planned to "fix" things (too many disco / unbalance from disco), but the way you made it is making the game way less enjoyable.
Fix it ! STOP WASTING OUR TIME !
Would you be as kind as to fill as a bug report regarding this feature, and let us know it has been acknowledged as an emergency ?
