I am still having to change to the Google DNS to play MWO, which is ok for the time being but do we have any kind of ETA as to when this issue will be solved?

I appreciate that PGI is having to deal with a third party here but it would be nice to know when we can expect to stop switching DNS just to get a game.

This is unexecptable, I should not have to change my domain to log in. Usually I do not complain but this is too much.

Not PGI's fault

Google and DNS flush didn't work for me.

The problem I've been having is being able to log into the game, but when I launch, the game drops my mech in play as a disco and reroutes me back to the mechbay. I'm not able to rejoin either. Getting a lot of "GXLoader failed to load." Don't know if this is related or a personal problem.

This isn't related -- I think you better either do a repair, or contact support. The current DNS problem would prevent you from logging in, this is something else broken on your install.

Just read this - it's a "hotfix" through the Repair Tool:

NEVERMIND, all i had to do was disable my proxy on my internet, and that did it for me. It had nothing to do with MWO, at least in my case.

Google's DNS worked for me, however, with my ISP's DNS server in the first box, and google's in the second, it didn't work. If possible, MWO should try both DNS servers, before giving up and "undergoing maintenance"

What probably happened was that your ISP's DNS gave a (wrong) response, which means your system never checked Google's DNS. It's the way DNS works, and there are people out there who don't configure their DNS properly. Out of PGI's control, really.

Still unable to play. I'd expect the game maker to fix this, not have me go thru a third party and fix it myself. I'll give it another day or so and if I can't log in without having to change all my stuff around then I'm done once and for all. I've never once had this issue with any other game I've played. Super glad I didn't buy any of the clan packages now.

Something tells me they are not gonna fix it. They really truly believe they did nothing wrong, even tho this never happened to them before

WORKED FOR MEJUST NOW

Posted Yesterday, 11:31 AM
This issue has been resolved, all that's required is for you to run the MWO Repair Tool. This tool exists in the game's Bin32 folder. If you installed the game using "Typical" settings, this should be here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Bin32

An alternate way to find this location is to right-click the shortcut to MWO, and click "Open File Location" (Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 8.1), or click "Properties" and then click the "Open File Location" button in the properties window.

Double click "MWORepairTool.exe". Review the options, change them as you see fit(two-way consolodation means that the tool will delete any files that it determines shouldn't be there, so if you like to keep backups in your game folder, you might wanna disable this option), and then start a scan. Once it's complete, go ahead and click fix. That should do it.

Be aware that whilst this will fix the problem, running the repair tool in an unpatched game will result in downloading about 2GB of files.

I was somewhat unamused.

Devs have said they would consider refunding "lost" active premium time. Email support, and in the mean time, run the repair tool. It'll take a couple of hours (I was a bit disgruntled myself Jabilo) but it'll get you back into the game.

Seriously?...im not going to change all my settings for one game and I play many! Why wont you guy roll back whatever it was..cause we all know once we start changing DNS numbers and stuff its going to screw something else we using up, and we're going to have to flip-flop on changing DNS and all that. This leaves to much room for error, especially for novice users.
