When Is The Lrm Bug Going To Get Fixed?!?

The lock-on indicator says I've got a good lock, I hit the fire button, and a full volley of LRMs goes right into the ground. You have to delay firing for several seconds after a lock before the lock will actually register.

Most annoying bug ever. Please PGI, fix this quickly. The delay is killing me, literally!

There's no HSR for LRM lock. The game needs to confirm with the server that you have lock before it will actually give you lock.

Don't care about 'em. This is simply an effective method to send a message to the devs about a bug and maybe get some other players to confirm and agree that it should have a priority on the fix list. The fact that we have to suffer some fools to get the point heard is a part of life... and the internet.

Patience and continued asking for group queue got us 2-10 man groups. More patience and continued requests will eventually get the LRM lock bug fixed. Hopefully sooner rather than later!

They fixed the visual delay, but the delay itself is still there. To "deal with it" make sure you listen to the lock on sound, once you hear it (sometimes even after the visual) then you actually have the lock.

I agree. I really never touch LRM boats, though last night I built a Timber Lurm just to try it out, and it's infuriating to think you have a lock only to see missiles piledrive into the small mound in front of you.

Thanks for the tip. I did notice that the beep is after the lock-on animation. Unfortunately, I can't always hear that beep when your in a fight.

It's not a bug, it's working as intended. It's sort of a "fix" to everyone saying that LRMs are OP. If you only really launch at targets half the time, then they're not OP. See?

Heheheh, we have a person in our group that does that for us, so we don't have to get our hands too dirty.

i'v literally played about 1000 games with LRM boats and i only ever heard of this so called 'lock-on beep' now? granted i always play music when i play so i would LOVE the option to turn that up

One of the many reasons I have two full grown Dobermans :( All I have to do is let them into the yard and mention to the kids that I hope I remember to latch the gate lol

don't let the trolls get under your skin. It's very popular around here to jump into someone's constructive thread and try to bait people, usually the op, into arguing over the validity of their opinions.
Just ignore them and keep a constructive thread going. That's how you'll get PGI to listen.

Speaking of, I've never had this happen so I don't know specifically what you're talking about with this bug. Do you have any videos of it?

It happens to me almost every day if I am not patient and do not wait for the audio sound of a lock.

Just an FYI, played with Nikolai in a match last night, had a LRM 45 Mad Cat and had lock on him....guess what happened....all the LRM's landed behind him. Yup, got killed and he even noted that the issue was still happening, and probably saved his arse that round...lol. Stated that they are working on it and that the last patch with the no min range did not fix it yet. Found that i could still aim my LRM's by targeting a patch of ground, but that is highly inaficient. Oh well, till it gets fixed my builds will not include them.

While I also find the bug annoying, the current workaround is actually pretty simple: Wait until you hear the lock tone in addition to the red crosshair. What`s hapopening is the crosshair is turning red too fast, but the tone is still synched properly. Since I was trained to wait for the tone x-million years ago when dinosaurs used javelin missiles, it actually took me a few days to even realize the bug because I never considered the crosshair color as "definitive", just as an optical aid.

Again, it should be fixed,no 2 ways about it, but anyone that isn`t half deaf (Are hearing **** P2W? J/K :P ) or blasting Wubschtep at ear-shattering volumes should be able to work around it in the meantime with minimal practice :)
