With the new rejoin ability (thank god that finally got in and is working, legitimate good job pgi) and frequent patch-induced crashed that i can only guess were put in to make sure we could test the rejoin feature, it is time to streamline the start, login, and play to not nearly take the full 2 min timer... I can literally restart my computer and get to desktop in the time MWO spends just on the "connecting" screen trying to load the mechlab. I propose an initial menu screen where you can forego loading in the mechlab immediately after login or heck add a "rejoin" button to launcher/patcher so when mwo makes my whole computer freeze <10 seconds from match start i can actually get back into the match before it is 20 seconds from ending.

Yes, speeding up the login sequence is a must if the rejoin ability is to be fully usable.

god, dont ask for this. when they streamlined mechlab it took 3x as long to use it, and turned it into a stupid clickfest nightmare.

Actually, it's easy to shave off a few seconds... those videos right at the start with the logos? Make them fully and unrestrictedly skippable. No "can't skip until X seconds have passed even if you're spamming the space key" BS.

And that's just the really low hanging fruit.

That said, I was just forced to use the hot rejoin feature and yes, it works! (now if only I didn't HAVE to use it.... but that's because for some reason MWO likes to have the video freeze up sometimes... at least I can rejoin now)

If you log in and the game can tell you have the option to rejoin, it should automatically do that.

If you want out, you can always exit again or die.

I agree, streamline mechlab first. i shouldnt have to click so many times. and the select mech function is redundant.

I think after you disconnect for 2 minutes you don't get reward anymore - so i'd think speed is a good idea here...

They could at least offer to store the password and make the videos skipable via option in the .cfg.
Trojans that want to steal accounts can easily keylog when you type it in, so there is no improved security from not storing it. Also, when the password is stored in the user account data, no other user of your PC can get it easily.

Other solution: increase the time to 3 minutes.
