Another fine example of an OP laserboat. Why have any other variants?

I like the damage done by all weapons, I love to see the metal fly but at the end of a long hard fought battle when its just me and you and we are both out of ammo, I pray I have 2 medium lazers :)

One thing that I haven't seen yet in either the videos or screenshots is the coolant gauge that we all know and love. I'm starting to wonder if we're even going to have a Flush Coolant option in this game (I also haven't seen an optical zoom, but I've read that they're working on that).

I always liked the mini-metagame of balancing heat, weapons and coolant and trying to decide whether I might need it more later than I did at the moment. I hope it's included.

Yeah that was cool.. they should be able to include somethiing very similar as long as it isn't a spot on duplicate of the system Microsoft used in previous MW titles wouldnt you agree? Like maybe instead of the Coolant Flush use something like a large coolant blockof Dry Ice or something that can be deployed somehow over heated up components maybe by large powerful fans. Our surviveability will be certainly at a higher rate if we had this feature..the basic old school stumble to the nearest pond/lake/ocean/river and squat method would still be cool, but an ambush would be certainly guaranteed if our movement is halted for any period of time as our temperatures lower. Maybe the secret button is under the Hoola Dancer?? lmao ;P j/k Other than that the screens look awesome!! Please keep them
coming guys.

This begs the question - Is there AOE damage if your target cooks off ammo or reactor goes critical when you kill it (as happened in MW4)? For example - you're only 20m away from a CAT when the 120 LRMs in its pods go pow... you should feel some pain from that. Many memories of my Atlas melting in the final battle because I got too close before the kill...

Liquid Co2 canister, you have to buy it and have room to equip it then you use it like a fire extinguisher, pop it cool down, 1 shot :)

Lucky head shot probably. Takes alot of damage to drop even the 3025 Atlas. not sure how much Star League systems have been recovered from the Helm Memory Core. Might be updated tech against an unmodified Atlas.

I'd say that is mostly the heat from the 2 mediums he just fired.

Would like to see his heat scale after alpha striking at a full run

I'm a bit concerned seeing this setup but it all depends on how fast he can fire again and also depends on his heat management.

Still show us some videos of combat please, so I can sleep better at night. Because as of this screenshot I'm having nightmares. Don't want MWO turn into some arcade laser fest.

I think the swayback managed to get a lucky hit on an ammo store, at that point the atlas was doomed. Let this be a lesson, protect your ammo stores

Hear hear - a system like ME3 where you get credit for assists would be a much better idea - ie every point of damage you do is worth something, not just the last point.

Welcome back! We've got another screenshot for you guys, this one taken in a playtest we had. The Atlas is clearly having a bad day - man, what a headache. Our hero in his Hunchback seems to have made quite a mess of his opponent - why do you guys think that was? (I still love those explosions!)

Posted Image

If I were to guess, it'd be because he jumped out at the last minute and stole a kill. Or maybe, the Atlas already dealt with his 'friend'. Thoughts? Post them below!
See you again next week!

From back in the day... (was it really 25 years ago!!!) ...I would have to say that #TerrainMasking or #LinesOfInterVisibility permitted the Hunchback to gain ranging for his AC-20 without any appreciable damage from the Atlas' LRMs and then managed a critical hit with the Hunchbaby's AC-Hammer to the Atlas' left torso SRM-6-pack... for weapon and/or ammo explosion and resultant damages spread throughout the torso... it really all does come streaming back!!!! (can't wait for the Beta! and/or general release!!!!!!!!)
