Consumable Idea: Fortify Building

I'm partially nicking an idea from the Red Alert and Generals series: have a consumable that deploys a platoon of conventional infantry but instead of having them be units running around on the map the platoon comes in riding a Karnov (Anhur for Clans), the VTOL hovers a bit above the building (yes it can be shot down) while the platoon rappels in as pairs carrying crates between them, and have them set up four or six heavy support lasers at fixed points on the building (no visual difference in the building and it doesn't show up differently on radar) that all fire independently (a mech is safe on the roof and having the lasers set up at fixed points with a defined arc would mean rarely more than two at a time would be able to attack a single mech). Have the infantry inside take damage based on when a critical hit occurs not how much damage a weapon does, and give a chance for another deployment of a platoon to dislodge an enemy platoon at the cost of initial strength and the chance of failure.

Main problem with this consumable would be that it's only useful on certain maps, and having to go back through most of the maps and make building a different type of object than they are now.

That's a whole lot you demand with your idea.

- modifying a building after it has loaded
- creating an NPC-object after the map has loaded

This is just one example of all the really cool things you could do if they ever made combined-arms a thing, thoughI actually think it would be more logical to give the IS soldiers, and the Clans Elementals.
