When I first signed up for the BETA of this game I was in a clan. I did not start playing this game until 6 months ago. My name now has much less meaning.
I want to change my tags but cannot even though many other games allow this.

This seems like a fair thing for them to monetize. Hope they do it.

Just submit a ticket and they'll change it. I haven't done it personally, but I've got a couple buddies that did without any issue and at no cost.
I'd rather keep it that way then make it an MC thing...
