Hey devs,
I really like the way JJ are working now, they are almost perfect but not quite.
I feel that mechs with one or two JJ just can't get enough lift to get over even the smallest obstacles or cushion a small drop in some events, and WERE IT NOT for mechs like the Jester, which can only mount two, TOTAL, I would just say, "Pack more jump jets, dude."
So, if 1 and 2 jump jets are going to remain a thing, I think the first 10 feet of "distance to earth" should have double the acceleration and deceleration.
This will help mechs scoot over debris or help heavier mechs avoid fall damage.
Of course, wouldn't this mean that a spider with 12jj could just shoot up a mountain? Not if there is a limit to the speed at which the "Ground effect" would add to the boost. For instance, if a mech is flying 33f/s up, their ground effect stops.
So because it only works for the first 10 feet and stops after a specific speed, light mechs would hit this cap almost instantly and heavier mechs would still have difficulty poptarting.
Otherwise, a handful of JJ's just feel like "hovering".
