I've noticed that a disproportionate number of LRMs seem to the legs on my Timberwolf. Others who have been playing the T-wolf also agree. I'm not sure if it's true for other heavy and assault mechs but it seems to be a problem.

Mods, please change the title to: Clan LRMs seem to mainly hit Timberwolf legs.

Clan LRMs will find everything. IS ones should mostly hit your torsos.

Yeah but it's not doing that. The main problem seem to be with clan LRMs.

I don't experience that myself; or at least not so much as it's stood out. I've never been legged in my Timbies. Mind you, I don't get hit by a whole lot of LRM's in the first place, except when I've been caught foolishly out in the open unaware the enemy team had oodles of LRM's.... in which case said mistake typically results in death anyways.

Unlike BT, LRMs don't hit and then get randomly spread around by random rolls. What gets hit gets hit and what misses misses.

LRMs drop in a pattern from a certain angle. This makes certain locations on certain mechs susceptible to LRMs. It's always been this way. For example, mechs with a large CT will get hammered disproportionately in the CT by flights of missiles. Mechs with small bodies but large legs will get a disproportionate amount of leg hits compared to other mechs. Range and the direction LRMs are coming in from can also make a difference.

To fix this they'd have to enlarge certain hit boxes to ensure more missiles hit the torsos instead. The offset is that those hitboxes will be enlarged for all weapons, not just missiles, meaning that overall you'll be easier to hit.

Or they can change the flight path. The IS LRMs do not seem to do this.

Lrms dropping to fast if a fast mech runs off the lrms where too near to the ground. But they must hit so they fly over the ground and hit the best they can and that where the legs. This happen also to jumping mechs when they jumping higher than the lrms they will be hit in only legs.

This is a problem with the way of lrms flying. This problem has both IS and Clan.

They fixed that problem longtime ago but thats made lrms to strong cause they dropping in a 90° arc from above.

What will be with slrms in 7 years? ^^

That is a problem with the lrm behavior. They need to limit the maneuverability of the lrms so that will not do the weird bend and hover trajectory at the end. This will then make LRMs more dodgeable, which will make them less OP.
