Yeah, I rememeber beta. I remember being the only person in the game who used PPCs. I remember arguing that they were good for the exact reason why poptarting now exists. Now I wish I hadn't.

Which hero mechs are OP? I own almost all of them (nothing about the treb or qd interested me, and I sold the protector. Garbage.). The ember is probably the best Firestarter... the Dragonslayer has a good hardpoint layout (that was criticized as useless in the beginning) but isn't anything that unique... It's the pretty baby, isn't it? (Though the PB is super fun with an xl400 lol).

I *do* know that some of the perceived OP-ness is because some people run their hero mechs a LOT more than the others... I know I do, because 1. I get an earnings boost, and 2. It cost real money, I want to maximize value for the money.

Hero Mechs are NOT OP

Complaining about something while not offering a remedy has a name.....its called whining!

Most F2P games are P2W, the issue is that other F2P games hide it better. The power creep with the Clan mechs was massive.

And those real money Hero mechs. Woo, that Huginn is easily waaaay better than a Raven 3L, which is why my W/L and KDR on the 3L are 3 times better...

And that Boar's Head with stats about 75% of my Atlas-D...

How many things have they ****** up over the years? Now they're ******* up P2W! Will it never end?

I mean, Clans are so OP. It's obvious that they're P2W.
But I'm finding that I'm still able to kill them in my IS Mechs. I'm also noticing that teammates in IS Mechs are destroying Clan Mechs as well.

Way to go PGI, you botched your P2W!! Suckers.

In no way do I see the Clans as OP, or as P2W.

I was very much opposed to the plan that PGI had for the Clans. Now that they're out though, and I've had some time to play against them, I can see that they actually did a great job with their vision of Clans.

only thing pay to win is for cbills lol that's it this game is based all off skills, expect lrms but then again u need to be skilled enough to know ur hitting a wall or building or rock lol

That is how most F2P games are. Howerver, newly released toons typically are at a higher in-game "money" cost than other toons. That is the structure of F2P games. The difference is the Clans mechs were extremely expensive on release for real money.

Except for a few Hero mechs, you have to be a hero in order to run them. More like pay for 30% increase c-bill earnings.
