So a big question for all my fellow MWO players,
What Mechs' do you want to see in game? Here is my list, but we all have our own opinions

LIGHT

Panther
Urbanmech
Firemoth (Clan)

Medium

Crab
Vindicator
Enfield
Hatchetman

Heavy

Mad Dog (Clan)
Champion
Warhammer
Marauder
Axman

Assault

Kodiak (Clan)
Cyclops
Annihilator

What do you guys want to see?
And is there any confirmed Mechs' to be released?

Clans:

Light: Arctic Cheetah

Medium: Shadow Cat

Heavy: Nova Cat if the timeline wasn't sucky, but since we're boned with 3050 I guess the Hellbringer for ECM.

Assault: Not really any other good choices at the moment. The Gargoyle would be a gimped Thor and the Executioner wouldn't even be able to lift off the ground due to the recent JJ nerfs (while also having crappy pod space). Kingfisher has a STD engine, which severely limits its pod space (but otherwise it's okay-ish).

The Blood Asp would be a beast, if we were in 3059...

Phoenixhawk.
Stinger.
Wasp.
Crusader.
Warhammer.
Firebee.
Rifleman.

Which will never, ever, ever happen, but I got all my other favorites like dougra- I mean shadowhawk, and classics like atlases and catapults already.

My only favorites that aren't in the game, and could actually make it in, are black knight, shadow cat, cauldron-born, templar, and the atlas III.

I want a Warhammer becuase i want to replace it's machine guns with UAC/5's.
The Archer because Catapults feel like they will get their launcher arms blasted off too easily.
And the Guillotine because Jumpjets.
And to be honest, i dont care if the Warhammer and Archer get renamed if it means HG will be unable to do anything about it at the expense of the BT canon just so it could be in. i just want those mechs with those loadouts and hardpoints. :)

Jesus Christ on a ******* it's not because of naming!

WHY THE HELL DOES EVERYONE THINK THAT THE UNSEEN ARE DO TO A NAMING ISSUE! IT'S A GOD DAMNED LIKENESS ISSUE!

Harmony gold doesn't give 2 shits about the name of a mech. It cares about the likeness... because it LOOKS like it's from Robotech, Which the original designs were. Thus, they lawyer up. It has nothing to do with naming.

I should of clarified and said that base them of the Reseen but also alter their appearances before someone flies of the handle.

Really Battletech can ditch the Tomahawk (WHM), Spartan (ARC) and Glaug (MAD) designs in favour of more original designs (Hence the Reseen appearances) but even after that, HG wont stop throwing a hissyfit so i am convinced there is also a naming issue to this.

And no, the designs originated from Super Dimension Fortress Macross . HG simply got the distribution and dubbing rights and refused to let go.

Rights I expect that they paid a lot of money for. While I don't blame them for defending those rights, the way they go about it doesn't do the Macross fandom any favors, doesn't do the Battletech/Mechwarrior fandom any favors, and doesn't do themselves any favors. They've earned themselves a fair amount of ill will due to this issue.

Here's what would happen if PGI added any robotech gundams.

HG calls the law.
Deployment of new gundams delayed while the law investigates.
Demands for japanese involvement.
5 year court-case, sucking away endless money, time, and resources.
PGI relents, gundams put back in toy chest, case settled out of court.

So it's never gonna happen.

NEVER.

EVER

EEEEEEEEEEEEVER.

Except that is totally NOT how it would go.

HG would first send a Cease & Desist notice. If this notice was ignored, then there would be a civil suit, which may or may not go to court (HG settled their last issue, with Hasbro, in an out of court settlement). If things went to court, HG would file for an injunction (likely granted) that would delay the release of contested material. HG would likely AVOID getting Japanese courts involved, as a couple years back a lawsuit in Japan found that the company that sold HG their license had no authority to do so. If this went to court it would likely take a few years and utterly bankrupt PGI/IGP, win or lose. The mech designs would never see play. However, PGI would most likely choose to abide by the C&D letter in the first place. Not that it matters, as they've already stated that they have no intentions of making the Macross Unseen.

There would also be no investigation by "the law". That's what happens in a criminal case, not a civil case.

... You, uh... You don't know much about the legal system, do you?

Would like the Urbie(for the fun). However, after the terrible console command,, why even make a Cyclops.
