Is it bad that I just downloaded and rewatched the old 90's cartoon and couldn't stop cringing? I mean I love everything mechwarrior/battletech but this didn't age well at all

Pretty much the same reaction I had, haha. Curse my modern graphics/effects spoiled eyes...

It indroduced me to Battletech befor MW2 came along but I now only bring it up to make fun of it. Even as a kid, I new the CG was the only thing saving grace of that show (that and giant stompy robots)

It was funny I remember having a deal with my dad that if I could get 3 sacks in my freshman year of football he'd buy me MW2. I swear that was the hardest I ever played football. If only they had a game that came out every year maybe I'd be pro lol

I still have the toys from that show too. The Hunchback still has its spring loaded "autocannons" haha

Nice, I wish I could find mine... had a Bushwacker and an elemental I think... time to go digging through boxes.

This was the show that got me hooked on giant robots. I was introduced to gundam later, but it just wasn't the same.

I never liked gundam. Both battletech and gundam have political backdrops but bt just seemed to balance it better.

Is there anywhere to find this online? I loved the cartoon series as a kid and it did get me into MW/BT. Would love to see it again. I do remember it being on youtube at one stage but it was literally a copy someone had made from VHS and was pretty bad (the sound wasn't sync'd properly).

It's not just Battletech. My wife got me the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon box-set a couple of years ago for my birthday. ;) I was so happy :P . I sat right down and watched the first episode and soon found myself wondering "how the heck did I ever find this show cool". Gah, that damnable Unicorn. :) I had a similar reaction with Starblazers.

Ah well.

Curse you! I had all but forgotten those shows!

Curiously, I now have a strong desire to watch them again. :P

I used to enjoy that cartoon as a kid. I rewatched the series a few years ago and it was a bit dated but it's still better than a lot of the other cartoons I used to watch as a kid.

If they made a new battletech animated series... nuff said...
Who do I need to bribe/assassinate/blackmail/beg to make it happen?
