I was curious, so I made a survey.

Also Kiiyor's thread is really awesome, and I am totally jealous. This is my weak attempt at riding his scientific coattails!

The survey is anonymous, so feel free to be honest!

You should be able to see the results after completion.

I'm just barely Chuck Norris, with a PPC accuracy rate of 60.07%. I'm at 63.51% with ERPPCs, though far fewer matches. No CERPPCs for me.

Lets just say that the broad side of a barn would be safe from my attempts to kill it.

Stuck in the Middle! However since the BattleCorps dubbed me Jester, I would likely be to the right! ;)

56%-68% Depending on the PPC...Most other pinpoint dmg weapons I'm 74% or more. Makes me think PPC's are still missing/not registering when i chain fire. ;)

Yea...I agree. Im at 80% or more with most of my lasers! You cannot tell me I'm that bad with a PPC but amazing with something that takes longer to stay on target and a more steady hand? Something stinks and it isn't a burnt up PPC cannon.

You can't compare damage over time statistics with pinpoint damage.

For a laser to register as a hit, it is enough to deal a tiny fraction of a damage point to a target.

"Broad side of a barn" is not the standard of measurement we use. Would an Awesome be safe from your attempts to paint it with greased lightning? ;)

I can't scrub the data for blats, heat/chain fires, or other conditions under which I'd want to miss; but I'm not that great a shot... yet.

This sample seems biased. Where are the people who fire all their weapons continuously from the start of the match through first contact where they die having done 40 damage.

When you group fire there is the same problem. One will register and one won't its just much harder to notice. Its been that way for a very long time.

PPC 63.42%
erPPC 63.62%

It's very biased because it's based on players who not only play, but actually visit the forums and are capable of following a link to the survey.

My guess is the group you describe would have difficulties with this demanding process.

God awful.

Most projectile weapons I hove between 65-75%.

PPCs I sit right at the 50% mark, with C-ERPPC being the high point, at 52%. I'm only a mediocre shot to begin with, but I tend to spam and suppress using my PPCs a lot, too, which takes me from mediocre to just plain BAD with PPC.

One more reason for me to favor ac10s, I reckon ....... 24% points higher accuracy!
