For every Engine crit slot damaged the same heat as constantly firing a medium laser should be generated.
3 destroyed crit slots should blow up the mech. Currently this is afaik only implemented over the CT or RL,RT beeing destoryed but not on a per crit slot basis due to critical hits.
pro: Easy to implement by just reducing the number of currently active heatsinks.

I like this idea. It's more in line with TT and is an important part of balancing risk vs reward. Also, if this were implemented it'd nerf clan mechs a bit and make them value their side torsos more than they do right now.
I don't know if disabling heatsinks is the right idea. As is we receive heat for moving so I don't think it'd be hard for PGI to just add +3 or +5 permanent heat per engine crit.
