Hi,

I just thought I would offer the following feedback.

I have been playing my light mechs quite a lot over the last few weeks. Jenner for fun and Kitfox and Firestarter to level them.

All my builds have close to full leg armor and they all equip jump jets. I use the jump jets both for getting off the ground and for cushioning the landing wherever possible.

Over the last few weeks I have lost legs or died to double legging far more that before. In part this may be due to the high alpha that some clan mechs are capable of ... however, in general, I never stop in a light mech ... since if you do you will probably die.

What appears to be happening is that cumulative fall damage weakens the legs making it more likely over time for the legs to be destroyed by opponents.

It is impossible to avoid all damage since even driving over some relatively small terrain features at full speed still appears to cause damage. Running across (parallel to) on a steep hillside sometimes causes damage, occasionally multiple times even though there are apparently no big falls. This may have to do with the outer leg being higher above the local terrain than the inner leg which is actually riding on the terrain.

Anyway, I think that leg damage for light mechs from falls is slightly on the high side at the moment and could use a tweak.

Russ mentioned that more tweaks to fall damage numbers will be hitting in the next patch or two, so you shouldn't have long to wait.
