Honest, I'm not. I just can't actually get myself into a match tonight.

I've had four mechs, at one point three at a time, go into matches, but they didn't take me with them.

Both the first try and subsequent Rejoin attempts result in me seeing Mech Lab and a "Disconnected from game server" message.

So apologies to any team left a mech short with my name on it. The servers just didn't want me to play tonight.

Clearly your 'Mechs have gained sentience and are trying to fight on their own. Discipline is key.

While this very funny, I'd suggest opening a ticket with support.

you might try the repair toll and I'd definitely send in a ticket to support

I did the support ticket first, then posted to the forums because... well just because. If anyone noticed me being disco over and over and happened to see my post, maybe I wouldn't get reported as a farmer. But I definitely sent in a ticket, the Rejoin feature is too needed to let bugs continue with it.

When work (stupid real life) lets me I'm going to reboot everything and see if I can mech.

Its usually the wifi router.

Switching to a physical cable will give you faster upload/download, lower ping and better stability.

It may sound counter-intuitive.

But, yes! I have seen a lot of people try to game over a WiFi router with less than stellar results.

pffft I play on wifi just fine, with plenty of other traffic going on as well. Never ping higher than 80 :P

Last night - 13 hours ago (early Australian morning] I was in about 6 games in a row where there was at least one disconnect or someone unable to get into the game. A lot of people were complaining about the no-shows.

Cheers!

Civ is a terrible example since it has had inexcusably bad netcode over the years.

Seriously, how is it EVEN POSSIBLE to have game-ending desyncs (no amount of reloading or anything else we do would prevent the game from desynching at around the same point- only starting a new game gives a chance at playing through) IN A TURN BASED GAME!?

80? The horror! I mean I'm upset when my normal 32 ends up at 65ish. :P

Okay 80 isn't bad, I honestly have no clue how people play this game iwth the 240+ pings though. Even so, with Ping "Less is More". I guess I am still spoiled by all the day of LAN parties in my 20s where the one group would rent out a hall, set up 3 large servers, and we would all bring our computers in and pay $25 towards costs to spend a long weekend playing games. Ping times were like 12-17, the games were hosted on beutiful computers, and much fun was had by all.

There were some glorious MW3 and MW4 games played back then. Battlefield 1942 was huge. Then there was my favorite where I and 1 other friend ended up taking on 8 other players in Jedi Academy and kicking heir asses. We had spent from 8PM on Friday till 7AM on Saturday playing Jedi Academy against each other and everyone else who jumped in. One of us would learn a new nasty trick and then the other would come up with a counter. When people woke up and were watching us 1 on 1 in the morning they decided the only way we could be on the same team was if everyone else was on the other one.

Then the epic destroy the masion MW4 mission fest. Everything was tried defense and offense. Fast mechs with an artillery beacon, countering fast mechs, Spotters and LRM/ArrowIV support, good old brawlers. Fast mediums able to flank the assaults or bypass them and still keep up with a light long enough to cut it up with lasers.

Mechwarrior is SO much better when you don't have to worry about ping.

I'm playing MWO with wi-fi and 150-160 ping, still one-shotting light mechs with dual gauss rifles like a frickin jedi. The key is to just see things before they happen, like when you're pod racing.

Except sometimes, when I'm duelling Locusts and my jedi-reflexes fail, so I end up with 0 kills and 64 dmg and the other guy starts a thread in the Barracks about how he destroyed a helpless assault mech in his Locust with 4 small lasers.

I do use a cable, when wifi got to be zero fun moving 40GB files around for work.

Would you believe it got better when I rebooted my wifi printer? I love computers.

People don't actually play PC games over Wifi do they? Really? I suppose this is on top of using a graphically deficit Laptop, with a ancient wireless card on-board, and then do it over the Offices ISP and then blame PGI...

LOL! WIFI - "What In the F*** Is" you thinking dawg"... :)
