It would be nice if we could get some new colors. Some proper pinks. Also some new ultra premium with new effects e.g. metallic, pearlescent, iridescent, chrome, and so on. Pricing them around 1500 MC wouldn't be too bad. Also maybe adding some radar absorbing paint, which would have a sort of ghetto ECM effect. These could be sold for 2000-2500 MC depending on the color and pattern. It would also give a new dimension of realism to gameplay.

I know they have the ability to do metallic and iridescent stuff. See Arrow and some patterns. I think they mentioned releasing some but that was a while back.

Also, Radar? What is Radar?

it'd be nice to see some colors for Cbill aside from the basics.. might see less PUG green mechs around if they did.

They need a C-Bill Black, Yellow, Light Grey / White or maybe a Brown. Would round out the basic Crayola™ colors.

There's a couple of things they'll never do, and making c-bill blacks and white are one of them. They even nerfed the PC gamer colors to keep sales high.

What is this color nerf on the PC Gamer colors? I have them and they are somewhat dull compared to the "Premium" colors, but I don't ever remember them being that vibrant either. Or do you mean they intentionally toned them down before the release?

They used to be much darker and stood out better. Then they "whitewashed" em. Now they are so so.

Yes, were they really nerfed or more a case of newer colours just being more vibrant? I know my YLW uses the Hot Rod red rather than the default red it came with for this reason.

The most common and "universal" colors (black, white, grey, red, blue) will never, ever be out on C-bills. Demand is high, so why make them free?

worst part is that there are two blacks for MC that are almost identical.

Why is it to difficult to stand within 180m of an ECM on your team? Or pilot an ECM equiped mech?

I feel ECM is already stupidly implimented and the cause of many of the frequent issues complained about on the forums (LRM op/not OP etc) And you want more of that garbage?

But just new colors that's a great idea

and colors for C-Bills is a brilliant

I want colours so bright and horrifying that unprotected retinas take more damage from simply gazing at my mech than being hit by a small laser.

I want pinks that GLITTER and are so offensively pink that they make a street-full of Thailand 'ladies' think that i've gone too far.

I want oranges, greens and yellows so fluorescent that they forcibly transport anyone that looks at them back in time to the 80's. Literally.

I want pastels that are so pastel they soothe anyone that looks at them into near insensibility, making them think of Ikea furniture that would suit my mech instead of shooting at me, because really, a burgundy chaise lounge would look AMAZING next to my mech, resplendant in it's Low VOC Tidal Green paint color.

I also want pearlescent paints. Multi tone. Metallics. Chromes. I want texture overlays! Brand new, battle scarred, jury rigged plates, matte plastic, polished steel. I want to be able to paint my mech like cars can be painted in need for speed.

I'd like to see the ability to set one's specular via a slider... from matt up to mirror. :)

No, they do not have an easy way to control material properties that is bound to the color painted area. If you notice, all mechs that have special effects, retain those effects when the color is changed. The finish (matte, glossy, reflective, metallic...) is fixed with each pattern (see cobra or the arrow pattern).

This is probably due to the fact that these kind of properties need to be addressed to specific clusters of polygons and do not follow the same rules as color maps, bump maps, etc. I don't really know how how Cryengine works, but having different material properties in the same polygon doesn't seem trivial, otherwise they would have implemented special colors already.
