A lot of the Modules in the Mech Bay are Locked. How do I get them unlocked? I'd really like that 360 targeting on my Trebuchet.

You need to use GXP (general experience) to unlock these modules. Once you have done that then you are free to purchase with CBills.

First you go to the Skills page and select pilot skills on the left; Select the module you wish you to unlock and pay GXP to unlock the module.
Then you may go to the mechlab modules section to purchase the module. You only ever unlock a module once, but you may purchase multiple copies. (generally people keep only one of each and switch them as needed, but this can be annoying)

Two things you need to do to unlock modules. The first is spend GXP. Think of this as giving you the skills to use it. Then spend the C-Bills on the module. Think of this as having the mechanic upgrade or tweak your mech systems. The thing is, you only have to expend the GXP once, but spending the C-bills will only buy one module. If you want another of the same type you have to spend the C-bills all over again, or remove it from one mech and install it into the other.
