How exactly did i deny reality or change the subject? Because i don't agree with you that maps are "mech hiking simulator maps"?
Because you stated something flatly false, and then you changed the subject to something else entirely

Excuse me for wanting tactics instead of just looking straight at the enemy and firing.
Right there.

The game is 15 minutes on small maps!

Most of the current maps are so small that it's almost impossible to flank the enemy, at least if they have any sense.
Also, my attention span isn't so short that i get bored walking for a few minutes...even in my 53kph Stalker. But then i was a BF player and was never interested in COD...which is basically what MWO has become.
Yeah some of the maps are too small for 12 v 12 (at least with the current spawn points- you shouldn't randomly spawn into danger like that.
That said, it isn't the walking for the few minutes; It's the walking for a few minutes in back-to-back matches, each time finding that you have arrived at the fight longer after the match has been decided, or getting abandoned by your teammates (which is GOING to happen in Pugs. It just is. You can't just throw your hands up, call it "a team problem", and ignore the frequency with which that scenario occurs) and being picked apart in a scenario that you easily could have survived rather than going down like a lone triceratops trapped in a
tar pit.
I won't even bother dignifying the BF/CoD thing with anything more than a sneer.

Oh, and for the LRM whiners out there: Guess what happens when you randomly force SUPER SLOW MECHS to play on super huge maps? They start taking weapons that have the biggest chance of letting them do SOMETHING, *ANYTHING* to affect the battle.
If they don't have jump jets... well... let's just say that it's a lot easier to fire OVER a sheer cliff face on Alpine than it is to stomp all the way around it to a target that may or may not even been there (or may have gotten reinforcements) by the time you arrive.
