Lrm Problem

I would like to point out that after last patch I get hit by lmr even though I get cover, and having radar deprivation.
It happens for a few seconds, but quite every time.
I don't have problem to find a cover, but of course it should work effectively, otherwise it has no sense to put your nose out

radar deprivation (RDERP) is not quite the god-module it appeared to be on first description - here is how it interacts with advanced target decay (ATD):
- LRM user has no module, target has no module: Target lock persists for 1.5 seconds after LOS is lost.
- LRM user has ATD, target has no module: Target lock persists for 3.5 seconds after LOS is lost.
- LRM user has no module, target has RDERP: Target lock persists for 0 seconds after LOS is lost (instant loss of lock)
- LRM user has ATD, target has RDERP: Target lock persists for 2.0 seconds after LOS is lost

But maybe 2.0 seconds after los is lost are too much time, I guess 1.0 would be more balanced.
Thank you anyway

no, it shouldnt. LRMs would be, literally, useless. at most RDERP should subtract 2.0 seconds (the same amount ATD adds) and give 1.5s decay time. otherwise you have a 6,000,000 module that adds 2 seconds, and a 6,000,000 module that subtracts 3.5 = not balanced.
Its bad enough that advanced target decay is now an LRM tax..
also, i have not even unlocked RDERP and have next to no issues with LRMs killing me, if you have LRM issues even WITH RDERP you need to learn to play.

and thats one of the reasons the majority of LRM users suck. the odd match i play with LRMs where i forgot to equip ATD are painful as hell.
Radar Derp is a direct counter to Natural target decay. Advanced target decay mechs are affected, but not completely countered. and they should not be.

Are you getting behind cover to break the lock and moving enough to avoid still being in that 'last known' location the lrms are headed for?
Also watch for lights or mechs on your flank that are still targeting you until you drop further in cover.
ETA: I did not know ATD can still keep lock for short period if you have Radar Dep... I thought it broke the lock regardless instantly.
