and this is why we still play...
Love it or leave it. What ever you do, feel free to add to the soundtrack of this game with your own video embeds.

No actual content beyond "Here's a couple of songs I like" - which would be a better name for the thread, incidentally.
I am disappoint.
PS: That's not why I love this game, nor is it why I still play.

If you are still playing this game from its inception, then it's actually *not* difficult to appreciate this post for what it is. But thanks, Alistair, for being preemptively derisive for no reason other than your lack of cognitive facilities.
*Edit* = *not*

Another reply without creative thought. It would be an insult to trolls to call you one because trolls are more talented. Try embeding a song that carries your logic instead of being a useless pile of keystrokes. Thanks, though. Your abundance of posts since founder time means your opinions mean less to the individuals that speak when it matters.

I wasn't feeling sorry for myself, I was joking about the fact that you seemed a bit put off by my comment.
But in all seriousness, I think you'll find that people who have been around since 2012, and been active on the forum for two years, have a preference for threads that contribute something new to the discussion of the game itself. This thread doesn't offer anything new, nor does it really pertain to the game itself. You're basically saying "Here's music that I like". There's even been dozens of threads like this one already, but you felt the reason to start yet another one, instead of taking the time to search the forum. You'll notice that most people don't start new threads just to inform the community of "Here's music that I listen to while playing MWO" or "Here's food that I sometimes eat while playing MWO" or "Here are some comfortable clothes I wear while playing MWO". Because it's not really that interesting.
And if you're going to bring up Roland's post history, I suppose you may want to take note of the fact that Roland gets, on average, 2 likes for every post he makes. Which means people often enjoy and appreciate his posts. If you have a look at your own profile, you'll notice a disparity.
This is why I've taken the time to help you, informing you of why this is a bad thread, so you can get more likes and be one of the cool kids on the forum. This will certainly give you more confidence in life, probably resulting in you getting the jobs you like, making jokes to your co-workers during lunch and being able to talk to beautiful women. In short, people with more likes per post are better than you at life. But if you stop making crappy threads like this one, there is hope for you yet.
Your humble servant,
Alistair Winter.

I realize most BattleTech fans like the tank-ness of MW versus the Japanese space-slick mecha, but I just play because this is the closest sim approximation of a Gundam to me. Same reason I played MechWarrior 2 as a kid. Same reason I play with a joystick 100% of the time. (Although I snipe with a mouse for some of those smaller targets.)

If you listen to the two songs, you will understand a lot of subtext that goes along with how this game plays. Also, if you know anything about what was posted before, you may remember that this isn't the first time I posted the Powerman5000 song as a theme and many people enjoyed it. What I endeavored today is to remind those who still play this game, regardless of faults, of the things that make us happy when we are logging in so we can continue to find happiness in this niche of a genre.
PS: THANK YOU RHAYTHE FOR BEING THE FIRST PERSON TO APPROPRIATELY RESPOND TO MY POST WITH ANOTHER EMBEDDED VIDEO. You have a thousand praises coming from my corner for actually understanding and reading this post.
