Stacking Bonuses For Multiple Equipment

In lore, most mechwarriors were concerned with bringing their battlemechs home in 1 piece. In game, none of us are concerned about this since we get free repairs every time we die.

To bring back some balance, I suggest providing stacking bonuses for equiping more than 1 piece of equipment. equipment would include active probe, ecm, command console, targeting computer...as well as tag, narc, and ams.

what I suggest is each component be augmented with a secondary, and possibly tertiary, attribute that comes online when another piece, or 2, of equpiment is detected. if more than 2 or 3 pieces are equpipped, then the bonuses increase in strength. an example:

ams secondary: increased rate of fire
ams tertiary: increased range

ecm secondary: increased range
ecm tertiary: disrupt/counter both active concurrently

active probe secondary: vibration detect
active probe tertiary: increase Line Of Sight loss target tracking time

tag secondary: increased tag range
tag tertiary: increased tracking bonus

narc secondary: increased range
narc tertiary: increased tracking time

command console/tactical computer secondary: 2% additional armor rating added to each mech section
command console/tactical computer tertiary: all 1000+ range weapon systems gain 1% crit chance per projectile/beam/missile.

for each system beyond 2 a bonus of 10% per system can be added. all mechs can achieve the minimum 3 items to gain all bonuses through use of ams, active probe, and cc/tc.
