I have the extra heat covered on all of them. I'm only down speed tweak. Maneuverability still sucks on anything but flat terrain...and even anchor turn didn't seem to add a whole lot on the flat ground.

The UI doesn't exactly make this obvious but once you get all the elite skills all the bonuses you get from basic skills double in effectiveness. Try getting enough experience to obtain the rest of the elite skills, play one match without them then get them and see if you can notice a difference.

I have them all elite but in one chassis and yeah there's a difference.

Is there a bonus that tacks on like that if you get the master spot? I'm not focusing on that because the extra module spot just doesn't mean anything for me.

Nope, unfortunately all you get with the master skill is that module slot, which is a little weak compared to what you get from the other tiers.

If it was up to me I'd change things around a little, instead of doubling effectiveness when fully elited I'd like to see perhaps a 25% bonus, then you can have another 25% bonus for Master, and if needed you can increase the actual basic skills a tad so overall once all skills are obtained effectiveness would be the same as it is now. It would make things a little fairer on new players and people who only one 1 or 2 variants of that chassis ;)

Dude. What?? Seriously! What???

I've had games up to 8 kills + some assists and 1300+ damage (WITHOUT using arty) using the Timberwolf.

There's not much out there in the Heavy category with more mobility.

I've never heard anyone describe the TW as sluggish.

I remember the first time I had a TW on my team. I was piloting my Centurion, cruising along at 91kph and wondering why I was barely passing the TW. I retired my Centurion that day, lol. What was the point?

Could you please stop calling the Timberwolf a "she"? Thank you.

No, I won't. You're welcome.

It wasn't so much that she was "sluggish", I suppose, as it was that she wasn't as nimble as I expected her to be. Also, like said early, it seems like any terrain she hits drops the speed down tremendously.

This will wreck face and take names and cause your victims to cry LRM foul and spit obscenities in your triumphant direction.

I was pretty disappointed in the Timberwolf at first. She's sluggish, not armed in the way I had hoped, and she seems to be covered with places that are easy to hit and do a lot of damage. I actually liked hunting the things as opposed to playing with the one I paid real money for...but, after settling on a quad of ERLL's and a pair of MG's, moving some armor around, and applying a few tweaks I've turned her into a bit of a nightmare.

Quad ER's? Taking some CSJ strategies eh?

Sluggish..?? :)

.
I would call the TimberWolf many things, but "sluggish" is not one of those things.
