I am excited to get back in to the game. When logged in and tried to pay with my funders mechs it said they where missing engines and weapons etc and I have no parts to put in the mechs my question is do I need to continue to to save up for parts for them or did do something wrong?

Let's see some screenshots of your mechlab.

They would have come with engines and their equipment unless you either stripped them or encountered a loadout bug.

Go to the Inventory tab and tell us what you have in your inventory.

If you had a loadout error then typically using the strip mech function, then save the stripped mech, should bring back any missing items.

That's what happens when you leave your mechs sitting in unlocked mechbays. Some filthy Rasalhague street urchins stripped them and left them up on cinder blocks.

Nothing you haven't done to your Founders should have happened to them. No UI or other patches intentionally messed with any specific loadouts as far as I remember. Using the strip function and waiting about 15 minutes for you inventory to update will bring back any items that were "lost" due to a bug with loadout saving. However, that one usually occurs after you've edited the 'Mechs, not during log off.

If you stripped them for parts to use in other 'Mechs, you'll of course have to either move them back or save up for spares.
