Has Anyone Else Had Bad Bad Lag The Last Couple Of Days?

I have lagged out in matches 3 times today, once for >60 seconds, twice for 15-20. Same thing yesterday.


My immediate thought was my connection, nut I have been monitoring it with some basic tools (pings and tracert's) and it has been fine.

Yeah, I've had major lag (able to walk around for a few minutes with every other mech moonwalking) about half-a-dozen times over the past few day.

PGI looking into it, hopeful fix next patch etc.

The game is fine. The lag that appears to be occuring is not.

Mind you it has only been a few time today and last night, but I have seen others lag out as well.

Apparently the hitscan weapons like machine guns and lasers are causing the issues. I've read that they are testing fixes on the private test servers at the moment.

I've consistently had DC issues all week during my pre-work gaming session. Always happens around 7:10 AM eastern time... Thought it was a weird coincidence with my router but I'm now using a wired connection and I experienced it again this morning.

Alt F4 has been a good friend with me in this game the past week. I teleport and see mechs walking in place yet my ping contantly ranges 80-130 more than good enough to connect and when I use recording software I have 30-40fps. PGI needs to fix their bleep.

The game is now unplayable for me. The last 5 matches I played was just me standing still, looking at ghosts, and then suddenly lurching back to reality to find my mech almost dead and being shot from behind.

According to Russ on Twitter, there will be a fix in the next patch. Which suggests to me that they either have no idea what's going on, or are nowhere close to dealing with it, so they gave themselves a deadline a bit into the future, as they know there won't be a hotfix available tomorrow or the day after.

I have had a few experiences like this where everything slows to a crawl for 2 to 15 seconds with a lot of rubber banding and teleporting. Someone else reported that this seemed to correspond to someone trying to reconnect to the match.

Lag or the client freezes up mid game and suddenly closes. : /

It seems like the game servers just stop responding every once in a while in a match. I'm guessing they introduced something into the server code that's screwing up the match session...because every time I've seen this, it's hosed everyone else in the match at the same time. Hopefully they'll get it fixed next patch.

Support told me that it was a server problem last weekend and that it has been solved. If you are still experiencing lag send in a ticket to support. They must think I am the only one getting lag.

It comes and goes but all is not well across the interwebs. It's not as bad as it was Nov 2013 - Dec 2013 when pings were literally double for an entire month, but as of right now I'm a good 30-50+ ping higher than I normally am dropping.

PGI needs to look into it.

Bad lag. Getting dc'd every 5th game or so. Can't connect. Just had a weird but where no matter what I locked onto my LRMs flew to the center of the map.

Had some bad lag spikes of around a minute, then the game kind of re-connects itself and continues... although I've often taken massive damage in that period, which suggests that my mech was still connected fine to the server, and folks were able to shoot it... it's just that my client was de-synced from my own mech.
