Context/story as to why!
There are occasional situations like this one where it'd be great. I was in a cataphract 4x, my team is dead. They're all watching my view. I'm completely fresh (I had an XL 170 engine, it took me awhile to get to the field, ok?) I had just taken out 3 of the 4 remaining enemies. The last one was a trial Cataphract 3-D. My heat is pretty high up at this point. So I powered down. In real life I picked up some hot chocolate, blew on it, took a sip. The trial mech fired at me. Hammering me in no specific location. He even overheated. I took another sip and put the cup down. Then I powered up and said "Mkay, you had your chance. I'm going to kill you now." And so I did, by non-stop chainfiring AC-5's into his right torso until he popped.
I'd honestly pay upwards of a 1,000 MC for a drink with an animation for drinking it. What better way to rub it in, than to power off your mech and drink some while directly in front of your enemy, before powering up and taking it out?

This. But rather than copying the state of the user's paper doll, one that copies the animations of your mech. It'd be worth the extra high price, especially if it changed the mech it displayed based on the one you're using. Though I figure that may be a bit much.

The only thing I find useful is the Nvidia Dawn, since her wings shake when I move and her placement underneath the missile bay door light on the CN9 reminds me to open them.
