here is a good one... How about when we are playing on a zero grav or a high grav world where Oxygen would not be or the gravity made it to where you had to wear an Oxygen breather, we could have the cords and what not showing that would be connected to your helmet from the top cab of the mech?

Very iconic look for the cockpits: Photo of your gal/guy (in pinup pose), Ashtray (complete with ciggies), a +1 if we could see our hands and slap a tattoo on it! (scars are extra...)

Pilot camera and monitor, integrated with audiovisual tranceivers.

For communication between players using ingame voice chat or scripted comms (like taunts, cheers, orders/acknowleges ect).
Monitor would show an animated avatar of player transmissions.

Enable allowing multiple things in different locations, possibly customize each location.
So you could have a picture frame, dinosaur, and something else.

The custom picture frame would be easy enough, just needs a file on the local system since the local player is the only person who will see it.

I think it would be Cool if you could have a Miniture of a Mech somewhere in your cockpit. ( More expensive version maybe even lights up where you are damaged) (P.S Devs should give the ideas you take from people and use to those people your only losing one.)

Also some wierd Alien Skull or a mean looking sword/knife would also be pretty cool.
