i think there should be like 4 customizable slots with each slot being a certain part of your mechs cockpit.

Slot 1- Picture
Have a selection of standard pictures and have a possible upload one.

Slot 2- Finish
Choose for a Rusted used finish, Clean metal finish, Chromed out finish, or a old fashioned wood finish

Slot 3- Dash
Choose from several types of bobble heads (Urbanmech, hula girl, etc.), a folded up breifing map, a Pistol with shells rolling around, mech figures, cupholder etc.

Slot 4- Lighting
Choose from different lighting schemes.
Tactical- With emergency lights, directional fire lights, yellow lights for low/no ammo, and a green light for hits.
Suppressed- No lights at all in the cockpit except buttons and your map screen
Colored lights- Normal lighting but with different color bulbs (blue, green, red etc) which also puts lights under your interfaces.
Normal- just normal lighting

those are just my idea... they may not be the best or be picked but i think it would allow for easier programming in.

Don't think anyone thought of this yet.

- Mech Pilots License clipped to your dash. Click on it to enlarge, allow inclusion of personal photo. Maybe even make it a graduated license that changes as you gain experience.

I like a few of the ideas here. The Hulu girl, or other bobble heads are a cool idea. I like the picture frame idea that you can upload your own photo too. The MP3 player is a very good idea. I have been wanting to make a post to ask for the ability to use our own MP3s as game music if we wanted. An MP3 player in the cockpit would be great if it had a working screen so that it showed the name of the song we had playing.

I'm sure there's plenty of repeats in this list:
Fuzzy dice of selectable type, from d4s to d20s.
Hula girls and other bobblehead type collectibles - especially bobbleMechs!
Taped up pictures on the dash - assorted pinups of either gender or uploadable by players.
Short scrolling bar with in game news, including plantes won/loss by faction.
Kill Count silhouettes, even if they traditionally belong on the outside (would prefer the outside, but would take what I can get).
Cosmetic skins for the cockpit - no layout changes of actual framework, but different looks.
Moveable or customizable HUDs - I know I'd prefer a green screen rather than amber.
Mead bottles.

4. 1 Roll of Duct Tape
5. Emergency MRE (and it had to be an emergency to make it look good enough to eat...)
6. Toilet Paper
7. Shaving Kit
8. Whatever else you crammed into your ruck sack.(Usually clothes and gear and other nonessential items.)

As for luxury items
1. The Hula girl/Bobbleheads
2. Customizable picture
3. A copy of the Word of Blake/Holy Comstar Manuals
4. Technical Readouts
5. Pinup Posters
6. Portable Trideo Player
7. Bottle of Whiskey in Mesh Webbing
8. Whiskey Flask with personal/house/mercenary colors and insignia.
