How about the cockpit half filled up with beer bottles and if somebody nails your mech in the head, the bottles get ejected.

Gun rack for my Federated Long Rifle. Beer cooler. The personalized photo and music are great ideas. Themed or aged would be interesting. Generally, you don't want loose items floating around in a cockpit. Would be fun to put a tally on the outside though.
