Jester can only have 2 JJ, and after the JJ nerf this girl cannot jump as high anymore. Tried several maps and she is like 1 meter short to jump to some of the ledges.. Like River city; before i could jump around and climb almost everything, now its no point using more then 1 jj on this mech anymore.

=

1 JJ to soften landings.... Is this really intentional. I understand the JJ nerf and ****, but the jester only have 2 JJ slots, and thus cannot climb ledges anymore....Just saying this cuz the jester is kinda weak, and its hotspot is its speed and agility... Now its more like a K2 without ballistics... maybe 3/3 Jumpjet slots would be better??

I would say 4 or 5 but we have been screaming for things like "everything to do with fixing the awesome" forever now and nothing so I would say honestly just stick with 1 jumpjet and move on...

Yep, another nerf that misses the target. And sidelines yet another mech build.

To those that didn't anticipate this, I don't usually say I told you so but I did tell you so.

Seems almost like the Jester was over looked on the JJ nerf.

All PGI needs to do it's add a % boost to forward and height thrust based in the number of JJ equiped from maximum ammount.

as example a Jester with 1 JJ gets no bonus with 2 JJ it get a extra Thrust. like a 10-20%
on the same way a Dragonslayer may get an extra 5-10-20 % thrust total from each JJ beyond 1st thus empowering mechs with equipped larger JJ quantity than those with just 1-2 JJ.

JJs barely fight gravity anymore. They don't help clearing obstacles for the most part, unless you mount all of them, and forget jumping over mechs.

I get what they wanted to do, but I think they would have been better giving JJs much more immediate thrust, but less fuel, and then having the fuel scale per jump jet. Result, a mech with 1-2 JJs might be able to clear hights, but will have to beware of landings if doing so, while a mech with 6-8 JJs can clear tall buildings or jump around between smaller ones. It also would mean less control for pop-tarting, but more for movement.

If I can't get off the ground with 2 JJs, there's a problem

Right now 1-2 JJ on heavier mechs aren't much more than Hillsliders.. you use them to climb a hill faster and very little else.

My huggin hero raven has two jj and it has the same problems when 2 jj would be enough to clear almost anything I need to or wanted to.
