If you're looking for a build critique, it's always easier to link people the build using the Smurfy Mechlab, or taking a screenshot of your "mech details" screen like this...

That way people can get a better idea of what exactly you're running.

It's not *just* hype, 30fps looks somewhat choppy to me, but a lot of people don't notice or mind it.
Also note that in this game 30fps will likely turn into 10-20fps if you happen to be looking in the general direction of a large blob of mechs, regardless of whether or not you can actually see them. Needless to say, this is a big problem when those mechs happen to be pointing their guns at you.

30 FPS is just fine for single-player games, but in a competitive PVP environment -- especially in FPS games -- the higher your FPS the better until you reach the point at which there's no discernible difference (which is different for each person - some may not actually notice a difference between 30 and 60 FPS, some can actually tell the difference between 60 and up).

100fps is generally where people are incapable of noticing the difference, but that applies to graphics only, control lag can actually be noticed if it's more than a few milliseconds. Given enough practice, players can actually time their input that accurately. Systems that allow real time control are kind of a big deal because of that.
Fun fact: if your teeth and jaws were strong enough to survive the impact and you were given an accurate countdown, you actually could catch a bullet with your teeth.

AMD CPUs generally don't perform as well as their specs would lead you to believe, but they tend to have higher listed specs than similarly priced Intel CPUs, so you do usually get what you pay for. As for them not working well with this game, I have no experience with that so I'll take your word for it. I've only ever played this game with an Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3GHz.

AMD CPUs have a problem handling CryEngine. There are some threads about it in the Workaround section.

Actually the human eye cannot detect a dirfference beetween 60, and any amount of frames more, so lets say 1000 for example. theres NO difference whatsoever to the eye. 60 frames is the max the human eye can detect

Agreed. in the mech bay i can get up to 30 frames... when im inside the explosion radius of a missile i get 3-5 FPS. and, 30 FPS is REALLY choppy and close to unplayable for me.

Yes there is, but at that point it's no longer about animation quality, you're right about that, it's about getting immediate feedback. 100fps is the point where screen lag effectively stops being an issue, it is still noticeable at 60fps and very noticeable at 30fps.

Satan is right about that, its more got to do with the technology needed to play and the equipment involved at those high fps then the 100 fps itself. good monitor is needed, if you got 60hz monitor its max fps is 60 regardless of what your comp is putting out.
