So, today I experienced the weirdest thing on Terra Therma in my Nova Prime(I).
My team decided to defend the base, and I took a position on a hilltop.
When I said that I had seen this tactic win before, I quickly powered down and took a screenshot (the shut down was in anticipation of what happened next).
When I pressed "Print Screen", the game locked up, and I waited a moment. For some reason, instead of waiting it out like I normally do, I hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete and opened the Task Manager.
I did not want to close the client, but after a few moments of the Task Manager being unresponsive, the client closed itself, so I quickly went to restart and rejoin.
Upon rejoining, instead of sitting comfortably in my cockpit, I found myself seeing the world from the eyes of a disconnected Atlas (who DC'd when he saw what map he had gotten), and from there found myself moving the camera freely across the map back to our base (as the Atlas was on the enemy team).
I could see the battle happening, but no kill notifications or chatter were visible. When I eventually found my Nova (still alive!), I decided to disconnect and reconnect again. Upon reconnecting again, all was as it should be.
I just found this a rather curious experience and thought I should make a note of it. The match occurred only an hour or two ago (more or less), and I still cannot entirely believe what I saw.
So, anyone reading this, should you happen to experience this same phenomenon, simply disconnect and reconnect again, and it should correct itself. Probably.
