Either make them cheaper or better. Or both. Other modules only give an advantage so I understand the GXP/Cbill cost but the pricing on weapon modules for what they do is insane.

Start small and shoot for "better than nothing". Maybe give them increased range/heat and damage. The minuscule range increase alone isn't worth the heat.

Hell, give us variety. Allow us to 'modify' them using a module that turns them into snub-versions with less range and LESS heat.

might as well remove the negative part of the modules. even then i would be hard pressed to say it makes a difference to equip them

If they didn't increase heat they'd be "better than nothing" if you could afford them.
