2LL 2LpL 1PPC ive don't bout 800+ a few dozen time with, great support brawler

Damn that must be hot, that heat buildup must make it the worst. Unless you run like an XL300, in which case I would say running XL in an Awesome is not a good idea now (I just took my AWS9M from an XL385 to STD315 because I was dying to side torso pretty often now)

...Well, one thing at a time. For now, I'm glad that the Awesome is finally getting some proper buffs in the right direction. Also means that it won't be that rare to see another fellow Awesome on the field as well, so I'm not too disgruntled with the...choices that Paul is maki--
Oh, for crying out loud... WHAT THE HELL, PAUL?!

If you would bother reading what that post actually says it is a desync for Gauss and PPCs. It wouldn't affect PPC only mechs.

The projectile slow down would be a direct nerf to PPCs and I think is much more unlikely to happen, because then no one would use PPCs at all, again.

Really glad to see the AWS back to being a played mech instead of just a joke, been supporting my underhive brothers all night in my CN9s and HBKs hehe.

Sadly the powers-that-be did not gift all the underplayed mechs with quite a drastic buff(looking at you silly useless HBK buff and the Dragon numbers that don't do much) but atleast it's a step in the right direction.

Honestly while the buffs are definitely appreciated, I really hope to see more work to give less advantages to long range alpha firing, PPFLD or not, hopefully by lowering the DPS of long range weapons (500-600m) by increasing their cooldowns, then we might see more varied builds and mechs be more viable.

All those who walked the path of Awesome Power are rejoicing. Not everyone remembers, but there was a time In The Beginning, before the double heat sinks...where an Awesome 8Q was a thing to be feared

Months of silent hope answered in hit box adjustments. SRM fixes returned the brawler 8R to us. Now? Now we might take up our ER PPCs and our laser boats without fear of self immolation. Perhaps it is a sign the End Times are upon us.

Though I find I can't stop going wheeeeeeeee to care.

Also, the Pretty Baby is still the ugly duckling of the group, in more ways than one .

Been running it like this for a long time, took it out tonight
Aws-pb
Xl400
2-erppc
2-srm6 2t ammo
The rest heat sinks
Performing in the 600-700 damage range.

G'day,

Great to see some improvement to the Awesomes. Congradulations to the developers. Since the patch, I've been getting better damage returns and seem to survive a little longer to justify my presence on the battlefield. No longer the big liability that I was before. I've got the basics out for the Pretty Baby and 8R LRM boat. Still working on them for my 8Q. Envisage that I'll retain all three, as they each require different play styles. Will eventually master them all out.

Here are my builds. Some are still work in progresses.

Pretty Baby

Everything is now awesome.

The CN9 and HBK buffs were a little underwhelming, but at least we're not Trebuchets. Personally I think Centurions could do with a buff for ballistics (sorry -AL) just because they've got that bloody huge, low slung arm dedicated to it.

OT: Awesomes are awesome and it's good to see so many of them down in the 'hive, I like mechs were all my SRMs can hit the CT >:)

Mildly funny to see all the bandwagon jumpers getting on board again. Only a few of us stuck with the Awesome through the bad times. We know who we are...

I wish we had a Catapult celebration thread (no more VCRs and correct sized PPCs).

Well, the Awesome needed more help anyway. Congrats Awesome pilots o7

I have noticed awesomes all over the place since the patch, and while I can't speak for the design quirks they were given, they are pretty fun to blow up :)
