The Timber Wolf will be available for MC after the patch for the Second week of October and for C-bills after the patch for the 2nd week in November.
The clan packages are still available, so you can buy just the three Timber Wolf's or purchase the Timber Wolf package so you have 21 of the 24 clan mechs.
So to purchase right now for dollars you can go to this page. http://www.mwomercs.com/clans

Best mech in the game atm, but most leagues don't allow clan mech usage until they are released for cbills.
With that being said, it's so far superior IMO and with PGI's knacking ability to "nerf" everything possible within it's grasp, look for it to be nerfed very soon. (because buffing other game play mechanics is obviously absurd right?)

But you will be able to buy it for Ingame-currency in November.
I thought that was Movember

Others have calculated the costs as quoted below. Expect the actual costs to be close.

Actually, according to two people who have done the math, Timby's won't even be 16 mil for the most expensive one.
As posted earlier in this thread, courtesy to Flying Fox 333:

And also Mechwarrior Mousse:

Some numbers are different between the two, but most are the same...not sure if the spreadsheet just took the numbers from the thread and made it look pretty or not.
Anyhow, it's been accurate for the first two mechs, we'll see how it fares with more releases.

TL;DR: Things are gonna be dirt cheap unless you're getting lights, then it'll be slightly more expensive than the established lore prices due to standardized engine costs (instead of varying engine costs).
--------------
Well, the Dire Wolf would cost 32+ million in tabletop.
In comparison The Orion 1M in excess of 18 million. The Atlas K over 22 million.
But in MWO the Orion 1M in MWO is 10,715,293. The Atlas K is 13,691,066 cbills.
The reasoning for this price difference is that in tabletop the different size engines are incompatible with each other and different prices (300 engine for a Hunchback and 300 engine for an Atlas had two different costs. For the Hunchback it was around 5 million, for the Atlas it's over 12 million). In MWO like so many other things, the prices have been standardized (since the engines are compatible with all mechs).
Without the cost of the Atlas K's engine in tabletop, the Atlas K is about 10 million. Not only are the prices standardized but in getting mechs with XL engines you get a discount too versus buying the engine by itself.
This means at most the Dire Wolf might be between 14 and 15 million. The Timber Wolf in the 11 to 13 million range for cbills.
Because of the standardized engine prices, it doesn't get extra cheap for lights, so the Kitfox is going to be slightly over 800,000 more than its tabletop cost. So lighter ones will be slightly more expensive than tabletop and the assault mechs will be slightly over 10 million less.

The calculated prices are taking the full prices of the engines.
If they did in MWO for stock mechs... the SHK-5M, KTO-20, and GRF-3M would a bit more expensive.
For example the price of the Cataphract 3D changed since closed beta. I'll have to go through them but since all the 'discounted' mechs are those with XL engines and it isn't matching the prices of the parts together.
I've always deduced that it's because of the engine price being discounted with the mech. But it could be something else.
Damn it, you've got me curious now.

Mechwarrior Mousse cross-checked his mc pricing with the kitfox and nova and they were exact for some and close for the rest. That led me to believe the actual price of the rest would be close at least. I can't do the calculations accurately myself, since chassis costs remain elusive to me.
At the end of the day, if we can afford the mechs we purchase them, else we work on our cbills. No point worrying about it imo.

I agree.
But unlike most people, I'm getting into game development. MWO as developed by PGI is a gold mine of things done right, done wrong, done right with lackluster timing, and done poorly but with good intentions. Figuring out how everything works, every nook and cranny, every good and bad thing gives me a repertoire of "Do" and "Don't" that I could look at when I'm finally designing stuff beyond paper myself.
*Slaps on hardhat and flicks on the light.* Now, if you'll excuse me... *Picks up pickaxe.* I've got some nitpicking to do.
