LOL you know, you could always move to cover when you get the incomming missile warning. it usually helps to not stand around in the open when you see missiles flying. i bet op thinks he is playing mwo:revolutionary war edition.

However, I think we can also say that they are one of the best weapons when it comes to suppression.

Then I apparent neither belong to the majority nor drive Brawler builds.

Please fix the STUPID PLAYERS right now remember there are 24 mechs on teh battlefield now NOT16.
In other words, quit assuming that you are everybody and or speaking for them, because neither is true.
Or give them an arena a mode without this game ruining op garbage support weapon.
A Mode that ignorant and short-sighted players apparently don`t understand that LRMs will still work just fine in, in fact BETTER in an arena setting with more or less constant LOS. In other words give them another mode that they think tehy want so tehy can whine about it afterwards after having wasting everybody`s time; AGAIN.
Because we all know that whining about losing makes you a better player faster than actively trying to improve.
Lemme guess: AMS has no room on your build, your mechs cannot mount ECM, and you love to run out in teh open in teh slowest mechs you can find? And of course you can`t aford the Radar Derp module because you have to save up to keep buying mechs? Let me know if any of these apply...
Seriously, the "LRMS are OP" whining will never stop, people were whining about them last May after they had been nerfed well into the ground (where they stayed for about 6 months, but people still kept whining anyway).
And now that they were actively nerfed (less screen shake) yesterday, the underhive read "LRMs" in teh patch notes and thinks they have a new reason to whine.
The only thing anyone ever accomplished by whining about LRMs (outside of the REAL LRMpocalypse and the 2 sequels, which BTW the speed buff was NOT one of) was notify every player that he was a prime LRM target because he wasn`t capable of dealing with them and refused to learn how.
So don`t be too surprised if you eat even more over the next few days while people still remember your name... why risk wasting a volley when you know there`s a perfect target right over there that will not only eat every one of the missiles but get massively pissed off and implode with rage at the same time. Takiing an enemy out of the battle due to their own mental state and then slowly killing them at your leisure is MUCH more satisfying than just blowing them up outright.

AMS won't stop you from getting hit all together by missiles, but it will significantly reduce the damage you and your team take from them. If everyone carried AMS missiles would be near useless, clan missiles would be completely useless.

"But, But, But , But, But.. MY DAMAAAAGE!?!?!?!?!?!" I kan duz no damatsch without mah 120 shots of AyCee20 ammo!! I needz it all! No Fair!! NEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Now, if people would stop thinking about only themselves in a TEAM game....Well, then maybe some of the more intelligent ones would take and heed this advice.

What you call a 'brawler' mech actually doesn't exist in BT. Brawler mechs use mid to long range weapons and can keep up a steady stream of fire. The PPC is a wonderful brawler weapon.

I mean, i COULD move over under cover but...
That means i have to move my mech, which means, like, pressing buttons.
I only wanna press one button to win. I need my other hand free to text my friend all my kills and stuff. My cockpit selfie is like, complicated. I cant do that while i have to avoid the OP broken LRMs.

PPCs and Ballistics keep you in check. ECM grants you impunity. Check your priorities at the door sir, they're showing.

The weapon system itself is fine, most people that have such problems with it because of other issues with the game like a serious lack of useful tutorials, a crappy grindfest to get optimal equipment and mech skills, people picking the really slow & bulky mechs and then getting destroyed by LRMs because they don't know better, etc.
