If there is a thing that this game needs is game modes, so here is my idea:

One X big team against 1 colosal IA like the ares or the omega firing multiple targets, if your team wins you start again with 2 colossal mechs or one with double armour.

Why i think its posible to implement? the IA can work like a moving turret that can fire multiple targets it's not meant to hide ore dodge, just fire all the time.

If the IA is to much work the pilot can be a human player "Evolve game style"

The main problem: probably it will need a custom map.

I woulda loved if this game was based on 4-8 man units undertaking an endless array of randomly generated missions, from AI controlled escorts, base assaults, city defense, capture and hold the hill, defend the oil facilities, protect the massive oil rig on Crimson, destroy all the radio towers, or on Forest colony, protect the buildings from an advancing enemy.

It woulda been cool if the Clan invasion was a series of random events and you got your clan mech that way..through luck and salvage.....yes leg all the things...if we had a salvage system similar ot MW3, where even armor is salvaged...

And the Ares, they were cool additions to the CMG from wizkids, but they were woefully impractical to use in almost all games...though fun when you did...

Ares in the OP are Poseidon and Zeus

I would rather be fighting helicopters, tanks and elementals. It wouldn't be hard to do, it would just be expensive, with no immediate financial benefit, except that it would keep players interested in the game longer, perhaps.

The most fun aspect of zombie wave COOP is the fact that you're butchering a bunch of weak enemies, IMO. In MWO, you rarely get to appreciate the power of most mechs, because you're usually fighting mechs that are as big, or bigger.

In the old MW3 and MW4, it was always a lot of fun to destroy enemy tanks with a single PPC round. So it would be nice to take a lance of teammates in a zombie wave mission, against dozens of tanks and helicopters of different sizes. Myrmidons in the final waves.

Will never happen. But an enjoyable fantasy.

I'd be OK with something showing in MWO akin to a Mobile Fortress... For example, the Rattler:

The technology wouldn't be beyond the inner sphere at this time, though the costs would be excessive. Not unlike the P.1000 Ratte, it would be cool, but it would make far, FAR more sense to just make a hundred 'mechs, instead.

However, the Omega and the Tripod Colossals are a LOOOOOOONG way down the road yet, and introducing a superheavy like that would turn my stomach, for sure.

But the complaint the devs seem to make about AI being too hard to program seems like a cop out. AI has been in Mechwarrior games since the beginning. All you really need to make the game difficult is to improve the AI's accuracy and the number of them. It worked for the old Mechwarrior games... I'm sure we remember how brutal Mechwarrior 2 GBL and Mercs got when it came to critical hits, or how tough some of the MW4 missions were, even if you memorized where each 'mech would pop up. I don't think we'd be asking for AI to be on par with online players - that much is unlikely. However, I haven't bought that BS that programming AI is too hard.

All in favour of a single player & co-op component to the game provided that community warfare comes before it.

In all honesty, I'd actually prefer getting a single player campaign over Community Warfare any day.

Community warfare is nice, but it would play second fiddle to an even nominally decent single player campaign.

I'm in it for the immersion. As it stands, Battletech immersion is sitting in the 5-10% range.
Community Warfare will at least triple that, to 25%-35%'ish.
But a single player campaign with voice acting, cohesive story, scripting, Mission Objectives, and the ilk... that could well bring me up to the 50-60% immersion levels.

The way Mechwarrior 5 was advertised back in 2009 with the Mechwarrior 3015 video, it looked like it would have sat around 80-90% in terms of the immersion factor.
